Research Activities

 

My research interests are in the area of electronic devices and sensors utilizing the emerging chemical vapor deposited CVD diamond technology as well as the traditional silicon technologies. The research programs on CVD diamond devices/sensors encompass chemical gas sensors, physical sensors (pressure sensor and accelerometer), vacuum microelectronic devices, solid-state electronics, micro electrode for electrochemistry, and carbon nanotubes. The research programs on silicon focus on chemical gas sensors and vacuum field emitter devices. In each of these areas, my research embraces the following aspects: design, fabrication, characterization, and modeling. My research publications in these areas include over 70 journal papers, ~100 conference proceedings, and 6 US patents.
