David R. Linn is a Senior System Administrator for the Vanderbilt University Division of Information Technology (VUIT). He is a member of the Open Systems and Storage team in the Hosting Services group. Primary responsibilities are shared management of Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers, F5 Local Traffic Managers and an robust Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM service. Secondary responsibilties include continued management of older DTS Linux servers and a few research servers in the School of Engineering.
David is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and of its Computer Society and its Engineering in Medecine and Biology Society. David is also a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and of USENIX, the Advanced Computing Systems Association. He has served as the Vanderbilt campus liaison for the USENIX University Outreach program since 1997.
