Originally an acronym for the School of Engineering Distributed COmputing Network, SEDCON now represents a group of computing and information services supported the SEDCON staff, an information technology group within the office of the Dean of the School of Engineering. Announcements concerning changes in SEDCON services and installed software are made to the vu.sys.sedcon newsgroup.
